Double Your Dating Ebook Review
I recently wrote in a blog post about how good I thought David DeAngelo’s work on women and dating was. Since the response was so good I thought I’d review his ebook, Double Your Dating, in more depth.
Overall Thoughts
As I said in my blog post, I think this book is required reading for all men. This includes men who are in relationships right now. When I read it I saw mistakes I had made with women and mistakes I was making right now.
The mind of a woman is definitely a complicated one (you have no idea how complicated) and this is a great guide to finally understanding how to make women feel attraction for you. To make her feel those deep, primal feelings that she feels towards bad boys on motorbikes and her favourite actor.
And the good news is you don’t have to become an asshole or even be very physically attractive yourself to do it. In his video course one of the guest speakers is this guy in a wheelchair with a growth deficiency and he attracts women like there’s no tomorrow. No offence to that guy but if he can do it, what’s your excuse?
Because while men are usually attracted to looks (at least initially), the good news is this isn’t on the top of a woman’s attraction buttons. So if you develop a great personality that follows the principles outlined in this book you’ll never have women trouble again.
Well, the trouble becomes how to fit them into your schedule. And this isn’t some hype. Not to brag, but I’ve actually experienced for myself when you have to stop seeing great women because you have other women you’d rather spend your time with.
Anyway, let’s get into the meat of this book.
Part 1: How To Think About Success With Women
The first section of the book deals with why most men fail with women… and it’s totally NOT our fault. The problem is women are different to us and just don’t make sense to our logical brains. The good news is we can learn how a woman’s emotional brain works and how to appeal to it.
DeAngelo talks a lot about generating “attraction” with women and this is exactly what we’re talking about here. You’ll learn things like:
- Why women are attracted to things like fame, money, and power
- The dark side of beauty
- It’s OK to be a man
- How to control your attitude and internal states
Plus a lot, lot more about developing the right mindset around women. This is critical to your success!
Part 2: How To Communicate With Women
This is the part of the book that lays down what you should do to attract women. This is partly why it’s so great, it’s not some thesis on attracting women that’s completely theoretical. It tells you exactly what to do and say that women find attractive.
First, you’ll develop a personality that’s irresistible to women. But don’t worry, this isn’t about hiding your own personality. It’s about taking traits that you have now and making them stand out. It’s also about getting rid of useless traits like being a wuss around women.
Because unfortunately, most men show signs of wussiness around women, whether we realise it or not and this is the fastest way to turn off a woman. So these chapters will help take care of that.
You’ll also learn how to use humour to attract women and other little nuggets like having women “test” you and how to throw their “tests” right back in their faces. Plus you’ll learn how to stand out and be different from the hundreds of other men that have hit on her this year.
Part 3: Exactly What, When, And How
Part 3 will give you specific techniques to use when interacting with women. These are little games and fun things that fascinate women and have them begging for more. It’ll teach you to put a stop to those boring “so what do you do for a living?” questions that every guy asks her.
You’ll also be taught when and where to meet women. It’ll give you ideas out of going to crowded and noisy bars, though it does cover meeting women in bars as well. In fact, once you learn to meet women in bars you’ll find it’s 100 times easier to meet them everywhere else as well.
Finally, there are a few chapters on how you approach “dating,” how to get physical with women, and how to keep the initial attraction going in a long term relationship.
Personally, I think the dating industry is filled with too many guys who just want to “score” tons of women and that’s what they teach. I like DeAngelo’s approach better because while he constantly points out he isn’t a relationship coach, he talks with the goal of having the goal of a fulfilling relationship in mind.
Don’t get me wrong, you’ll still be able to “score” women, but when the initial excitement of attracting lots of women dies away you’ll be able to transition into a nice healthy relationship. Plus, the skills you learn in this book are still important to keep the spark burning.
Negatives
Really, for the price, I can’t believe every guy doesn’t grab this book. You even get to “trial” it for 7 days before they charge your credit card and you can cancel the order before they even charge you. They couldn’t make it more risk free if they tried.
Plus, David DeAngelo’s company is huge and being doing this for years. You can completely trust them to be ethical and issue refunds if you desire.
However, if I had to point out a negative in the book it would be that it doesn’t quite have the same depth of exactly what to do in bars like some others. Another guy breaks this down to how to approach women in groups of different numbers and exactly what lines to say, etc.
This is also a great resource and you should probably read both if you’re going to be actually dating. It’s not so useful for those in relationships already though. Plus, he doesn’t seem to be selling it anymore! His company has progressed and I’ll have to take a look at the new stuff and review that as well I guess.
Also, the problem with that approach is too many guys just want the “pick up lines” but that won’t give you success with women. All dating gurus agree that you need to get your mindset right first if you want to save months (or years) of frustration.
And when it comes to mindset, David DeAngelo is widely accepted as the “mindset guru.” The concepts that Double Your Dating teaches you will open your eyes to the world of women.
In Summary
In case I wasn’t clear… get this book immediately if you ever want to date or have a successful relationship with a woman. You can thank me later.
