If you’re a dedicated self improvement junkie like I was you probably have a pile of books, courses, audios, and videos lying around your house.
So how many of them have you actually completed?
I know buying new products is a thrill but you have to watch out or that thrill will replace needing to actually take action on the stuff you’ve learnt. I was that was for a very long time and it’s only recently that I was able to pull myself out of junkie status (unfortunately there’s no 12 step program for us!).
So stop buying lots of products and just focus on one at a time. Get a book, read it, implement it, then go back and read it again. When you’ve made significant progress then move on the next thing.
If you must multi-task (like me), try to keep to one product per area of your life. It’s no good running out and getting everything on a particular subject. Pick the person you resonate most with and just stick with them.
Sure, it never hurts to branch out a little down the track but start yourself off with a solid base.
The moral of the post… less learning, more action!
