One of my favourite “motivational” quotes is in the movie The Rock with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage:
John Mason: Are you sure you’re ready for this?
Stanley Goodspeed: I’ll do my best.
John Mason: Your “best!” Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.
I think that pretty much sums up the difference between winners and losers in this world…
If you want to be a winner, you just do what you want. If you want to become rich just find out what other people did and do the same thing. You don’t need all that positive affirmation crap if you just go out and take action.
Because it doesn’t matter how many self-help books you have on the shelf. It matters how many times you took action and followed through until you got what you want.
Anything less is for losers.
