One of the dumbest mistakes I see is when someone wants to improve themselves but is a complete tightwad.
They decide they want to learn something so they go out onto the internet and try to find all the little tiny tidbits of information about a subject for free. Because, after all, it’s the internet and everything should be free.
Grow up.
If you went to a dance class you’d pay for it. So why do you expect to find free dance lesson videos online?
And if by some miracle you do find what you want for free… it’s obviously going to be crap. If they were actually giving you useful information that people wanted they’d charge for it.
Whenever I want to learn something new I don’t want to waste my time searching through millions of websites to find what I want. I want a result, and I want the thing that gives me that result quickly. Normally, this is some kind of course or book that I can be reading online in just a few minutes.
Half the time, the book only costs around $20 or something ridiculous. You’d spend more taking your dates to McDonald’s (you are a tightwad after all).
If you have the choice of paying a few bucks for a solution versus wasting hours of your time searching for something you’ll probably never find… I’m hoping you’re going to choose the Option A. Or take your hand and slap yourself across the face…
You’re time is the most precious thing you have. You can always make more money, but you can never make more time.
Think about it…
